Cove's Corner
I write poetry!
(Very Occasionally)
Center
Find your center. Breathe in. Breathe out. Sink a little deeper as you try to find that which always eludes.
Stretch your neck. Roll your shoulders. Breathe out. Breathe in. You’re doing it all wrong
Count to ten. Count by sevens. Breathe. Breathe. You’re the odd one out.
List everything you see. Forget everything you hear. Choke on spit. Everyone is staring.
Breathe in a square. Breathe out in a circle. Breathe! You need to breathe! You’re screaming again.
It’s too quiet, too loud. The pain never subsides. The wound never drains.
You died four years ago, but you won’t admit it. You struggle for breath like you aren’t a corpse.
What lies in the center?
You never did find out
